Authentication
I guess it was only a matter of time that I would add this section. It was prompted by my recent purchase of a set of inserts from Dan R who used to run the movieposterauthentication website. Somewhere in the back of my mind I've pondered taking over that task, and perhaps this is the beginning. The overall set was anchored by Dan's copy of the Annie Hall insert. That's listed in the US section right now, and her as well. The fake version is also listed below. Also included as sell-professed fakes are 48 Hours, A Boy and his Dog, and Still of the Night. Lilke I dope, when I shot these images, I did not measure them. I will do so before they get into the flat file for storage. I also purchased a legitimate copy of Time and Again as part of the lot. That's is in the US section. I will only include the legit version here if I have the corresponding fake.
Right now, I know for a fact that I have a fake copy of the Pulp Fiction Lucky Strikes and Clerks. Much has been written on the Lucky Strikes, and I'm likely just to compile that information here on this site with little addition by me. I missed Dan's copy of the original and fake of Clerks when he sold them, and I ended up buying the his legit copy of Clerks from the guy who beat me to it on ebay (Dan at Cinemasterpieces). I bought the fake version of it unknowingly from emovieposters. When I contacted Bruce about it, he offered to have me submit details, but he "swore" that he bought a lot of them from an "industry source." Dan R. confirmed that the dimensions of the legit version, and I will soon post that information here. No aspersion to Bruce - he was interested to hear and I was too lazy to follow up. But, it happens even to the big boys - fakes abound!
