6/15/07.  Within the last couple of weeks, there was some strong discussion (to say the least) on NS4.  When I was engaging in that discussion, I raised a point about whether one of the sellers had actually listed one of the infamous minty whites of the Jaws insert.  I  was rebuked by that seller claiming that I got my information from Dan R., that Dan R. did in fact contact the seller (and was the only one to do so) and that Dan R. does not know everything.  Well, at the time, I did not respond other than to say that Dan I would not presume to involve Dan in that discussion if Dan did not want to be in that discussion.  However, I was contacted by Dan, who sent me the email which I have quoted below.  My intention is not to sling crap on this site, so I've deleted the reference to the seller in question, as well as the link to the e**y auction in question.  If you're that interested, you'll be able to appropriately search on e**y and NS4 to find out more details.  I'm happy to hear from you if  you have more information which you think would be useful for inclusion on this site.  Contact me.

The seller stated to me on NS4:

"holiday,

I'm certain I can tell a fake Jaws insert from a real one."

Dan's response

[seller's] auction for his $500 minty white (same as you get from -----)-he picked it up for $125 plus $9.99 shipping on April 27 2007 from a seller named ------.

An original Jaws Insert with no rating. Note the art crop in [seller's]...cut off along the bottom. The originals have all the artwork and is not cropped like [seller's] copy. The cropped
bootleg inserts are sold every week for less than what he paid.

By the way Dan knows he's not perfect but he is more thorough than most . He wishes you all well and hopes one day he can be as good as [seller] in authenticating Movie Posters :0)
