Daddy's Little Girls

1/26/07. Even though I have only one daughter, I couldn't resist this poster. I still haven't seen one of Tyler Perry's films, but I like the posters for them. R/DS.

Dancer in the Dark

5/11/08. I've wanted this poster for a long time, because I think the design is cool. I have not seen the movie, but given the reputation of Lars Von Trier as a director, I'm looking forward to it. Many times, a cool poster has made me go watch a movie I ordinarily would not see. After, I wonder how I ever went without seeing it! R/SS.

Dancer in the Dark

10/9/08. R/DS.

Dances with Wolves Advance

As of 8/15/06, this is one of my most recent acquisitions, along with the final version. I am told that when the two version are posted together, they come together as a sort of landscape or panel. I have not yet displayed them both in the light boxes, so we'll see. It is this version which made me purchase the posters for this film. I enjoy the moodiness and overall tone of the colors and the buffalo on the move in the dawn mists. Very nice. R/DS.

Dances with Wolves Final

Overall, I'm not a fan of headshots on onesheets, and this one in particular proves my point. The remainder of the graphics, however, make up for this pitfall. R/DS.

Dark City

9/7/08. I'm thrilled to ad a double sided onesheet for one of my favorite movies. R/DS.

Dark Crystal

3/18/07. Spanish. F/SS.

Darkman Advance

A recent (7/30/06) purchase from Heritage at a surprisingly inexpensive price, I have not seen this version come up too often. No need to explain why this Sam Raimi classic fills another spot in my collection. R/DS.

The Da Vinci Code

See my last comments. R/DS.

The Da Vinci Code

OK, so I bought into the hype. I've been collecting modern first editions for some time, and I even tracked down an near mint copy of the first edition. The posters are weak, though, and they represent some more juvenile collecting on my part - buying for the sake of collecting only, without the personal desire. Although, I love Tautou in Amelie and I look forward to seeing her in this movie when it's released to DVD. R/DS.

Day Watch

6/17/07. I have not displayed it yet, but I know it will look good. I've decided to get the posters for Night Watch too. R/DS.

Dazed and Confused

2/17/08. I purcashase the three of these a set from Dan R. R/DS.

Dazed and Confused

2/17/08. Reprint. R/SS.

Dazed and Confused

2/17/08. The advance version that I've wanted since I first saw it many years ago. R/DS.

Dead Man

Jim and Johnny. Quite a lethal combination. The best poster with Depp, bar none. I only wish it existed in a DS version for light box display. R/SS

Dead Man

5/23/07. I've had the single sided version of this poster in my collection for a long time. I was thrilled to find a double sided copy for purchase. Perhaps Depp's best movie, and certainly a great one from Jarmusch. R/DS.

Dead Man

9/7/08. Australia. A true Jarmusch odd-fest. This poster is much better with the red letters.

Death Note

5/14/07. Hong Kong, I believe. R/SS.

Death of a President

10/16/06. R/DS.

Death of a President

1/21/07. R/DS.

Death Proof

11/15/07. Thai Onesheet. I normally don't buy Thai material because it's so heavily reprinted, but this one and my copy of Planet Terror listed later, were the exceptions. R/DS.

Death Proof

12/7/07. R/DS.

Death Proof

2/17/08. International. R/DS.

Deep Blue

6/12/07. Australia. I couldn't resist the glorious colors on this poster, and I know it would display well in the lightbox. It's hanging in there now, and I'll post pictures soon. I was not disappointed. R/DS.

The Departed

2/28/07. In the wake of the AA's, I just ordered three of these -- one to display and two to salt away. I usually don't do that, but the ebayer I bought from had three available, so I just took them all (the price was right). I'm much more fond of the international character set I have. But, given the award, I decided that I should have this one too. R/DS.

The Departed

1/25/07: International. I received these on this date, but I ordered them before the Oscar nomination. In the US, I find that it's tough to find double sided character posters. I's much easier to find them internationally. R/DS.

The Departed

1/25/07. International. R/DS.

The Departed

1/25/07. International. R/DS.

3/21/07. New pic added.

The Descent

Just a wicked poster, though the graphic concept is not original from what I've heard. R/DS.

The Descent

I don't quite know why I like this one so much. I'm not a fan of the horror genre, but the color of the poster appeals to me alongside the advance version. R/DS.

Desperado

1/26/07. R/SS.

The Devil and Daniel Johnston

How could any poster collector resist this poster? Double sided, though I have not yet displayed it. What a great bit of art. R/DS.

The Devil's BAckbone

1/26/07. A gift. R/SS.

Diary of a Mad Black Woman

I just love the concept and the vibrant color of the image. R/DS

Dick Tracy

The Madonna version of this character set is what made me put the whole thing together. I also have the advertising poster in that section of the site. I've always liked the movie because of its cartoon qualities -- the bright colors and all. The posters follow that trend. R/DS.

8/15/06: I just hung this version along with the Madonna version in the light boxes. WOW! They look stunning! Being double sided, and with the added fact that these are Disney posters on that characteristically thick stock, the black areas are truly jet black so that the colored areas really pop in rich color. I am very pleased! This is why I built the light boxes.

Dick Tracy

R/DS.

My fave. R/DS. She looks great in the light box next to Dick!

Die Hard 2

Great action films with not so great posters. I bought this one because it was inexpensive and because I wanted at least one piece of paper for this series of movies. In hindsight, those are not good reasons to collect this poster. R/DS

Die Hard With a Vengeance

4/2/07. 13 3/8" x 19 3/4". This was a bonus from a good seller. R/SS.

Disaster Movie

9/7/08. Cool, fun poster. I'll have the set of five in the next update. R/DS.

Disaster Movie

9/12/08. A fun set of posters. R/DS.

Disturbia

7/1/07. I did not purchase this for some time until after it was released. However, when I went to the movies, I would see the poster lit up in the box and it was very attractive. Ultimately, I wanted to add it only because it's interesting and it looks good illuminated. R/DS.

The Diving Bell and the Butterfly

5/24/08. One of the best movies I've ever seen. R/DS.

D. O. A.

9/12/08. At last, the United States version, a special size about the size of an A1. R/SS.

D.O.A.

8/12/07. Another set that I finally broke down and got, when I was able to get them all doublesided. R/DS.

D.O.A.

8/12/07. Three hotties on the wall. Sweet! R/DS.

D.O.A.

8/12/07. I should start a poll on NS4 -- who do you like the best? R/DS.

D.O.A.

8/12/07. She would win, in my opinion. Professional fighter indeed! R/DS.

Dogma

9/7/08. What a great find this was! I had no idea this poster existed until I saw it, and double sided to boot. R/DS.

Donnie Brasco

6/12/07. I'm surprised I did not get one sooner. R/DS.

Donnie Darko

8/9/07. UK Bus Shelter/Banner. This is a fabulous poster done for the Stella Artois Film Festival held on July 22-23, 2006 at Greenwich Park London. This poster is huge, measuring in at about 47 1/4" x 71". It's double-sided and is mirror imaged for what you would think would be lightbox display, rather than banner display. In any event, what makes this poster really special is the completely different images depicted in the bunny. Look closely and compare this to the regular bunny version of this poster I have listed in the US section. It's just fabulous! R/DS.

Donnie Darko

5/23/07. When I saw this movie finally, at my daugher's urging, I really enjoyed it. Of course, I set out to find some nice double sided paper, and I was not particularly surprised to find that I was not the only one who liked it. I did manage to locate this nice copy, along with a reprint, a set of 3 single sided copies from different sources, and a UK bus shelter/banner (doublesided also), from a guy who knows what he's doing. R/DS.

Donnie Darko

5/16/07. Belgian. I'm not a fan of small posters, but I bought this Belgian form along with Ghost World and A.I. The latter two have unique art. This art, of course, is the same as the U.S. and other international paper, to my knowledge. R/SS.

Donnie Darko

7/1/07. Director's Cut. R/DS.

Don't Move

6/12/07. Australia. Have I said I'm a fan of Penelope Cruz? R/SS.

Doomed to Die

9/7/08. As much as I like newer movies and newer posters, this one was not to be passed on. F/SS.

Doubt

9/7/08. One of those that I can't articulate a reason for getting, other than I just like it. R/DS.

Dragonheart

A very colorful and exciting poster from a great movie. I just purchased this from Heritage (7/06) and have not yet received it. I'm looking forward to it!

6/12/07. PS: This was SS I believe, and I've now upgraded it to DS.

Dragonheart

5/27/07. How many times can I say "great movie" before tiring of it. It's a great movie, though. R/DS.

Dreamgirls

1/21/07. R/DS.

Dr. T and the Women

8/16/08. Lot. R/DS.

The Duchess

9/7/08. In my opinion, the best looking poster she's ever done. R/DS.

Dumbo

7/1/07. Rerelease. I really beautiful poser for this animation classic. R/DS.

Dune

8/12/07. I did not realize there was such a number of posters available for this movie. The Two Moons Advance is still my favorite, but these aren't bad. R/SS.

Dune

8/12/07. International. F/SS.

Eat Drink Man Woman

8/16/08. Lot. R/DS.

E.T.

Another great image from the movie. This is a re-release poster. R/DS

Edwards Scissorhands

I like this image better. R/DS

Edward Scissorhands

5/27/07. It would seem I'm collecting Depp paper, and I also like this particular movie, but not this poster as much. It's interesting to watch my own collection evolve. R/DS.

Ed Wood

As the Johnny Depp fan that I am, I had to have this poster in the collection more from a completist point of view than for any other reason. I haven't seen the movie yet and don't know if I will. Should I? R/DS

The Electronic Monster

1/22/07. I just bought this from Heritage's last weekly acution. I couldn't resist given that I'm an electronics fiend, and my fiancee, I am sure, feels much like the woman in this image, victimized by "The Electronic Monster"! F/SS.

Elegy

9/7/08. Penelope Cruz. That's all that justifies this poster. R/DS.

Elizabeth

5/5/07. I love her in this movie. R/DS.

Elizabeth: The Golden Age

11/15/07. R/DS.

Elizabeth: The Golden Age

8/16/08. I thought she was great in this role, in both movies. R/DS.

Elizabethtown

As a fan of her movies since Jumanji, I was compelled to watch the movie. I enjoyed it and would only love, when I was single, to have been compelled on a three day road trip with neat places to go and ending up in the arms of one with such a devious smile. I bought these two posters as a set, the other one being favored because of its images from the movie. R/DS.

Elizabethtown

My favored of the two. R/DS

The English Patient

5/27/07. I really did not want to be another one who loved this movie. The same is true for Titanic. Hell, they made a Seinfeld episode about how many people loved the English Patient. Alas, I love them both. What a great romance. R/DS.

Enter The Dragon

Doublesided, rolled and mint. It's the only way I wanted a poster from the movie. I also have a Chinese poster from Fists of Fury with Bruce Lee. R/DS.

Equilibrium

Thai. R/DS.

Equilibrium

5/26/08. A really great movie. I waited years before finally seeing it, and I regret doing so because it's so good. R/DS.

Eragon

I have had a first edition of the Knopf publication of the book for many years. I have not read it, but my daugher has and she is looking forward to the movie. That's why I purchased this advance version of the poster. R/DS

Eragon

1/21/07. R/DS.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

9/11/07. I saw the movie twice in one week, and it made me cry each time. It's just fantastic, and I had to get some of the posters. When I unpacked these, I realized that each of the actor's names is listed in a different color on each poster. Set of 3. R/DS.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

9/11/07. R/DS.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

9/11/07. I'm still have to finish watching the Science of Sleep. R/DS.

5/10/07. R-85. R/SS.

Evil Dead

Turkish.

Everybody Wants to be Italian

8/7/08. Including me... wait... I am Italian. R/DS.

Everyone's Hero

I just love kid's movies and the posters that go along with them. They remind me what's important in life. R/DS

Everything is Illuminated

Great concept with the credits rolling around his head against the striking background art. A really sharp looking poster. R/DS

Evita

I think this is a great movie! The theme song is one of my favorites from Madonna, second (third, fourth?) to most of the songs on her Ray of Light CD. I had a number of authoritarian politics classes in undergraduate school, and the goings on in Argentina were some of the most interesting. R/DS.

3/19/07. Pic is updated. I like this movie a lot. My ex-wife is a fan of Antonio Banderas, and I guess I am too based on Desperado. I love the title song to the movie. R/DS.

Excalibur

5/7/07. F/SS.

Excalibur

8/12/07. I enjoy the colors of this poster. F/SS.

Face/Off

5/27/07. Once day I'll add the doublesided character posters for this movie. R/DS.

Factory Girl

1/21/07. R/DS.

Fallen Angels

9/12/08. German A1. Cool images from this Wong Kar Wai movie. R/SS.

Fantasia

5/27/07. R90. I did not like Fantasia until I saw Fantasia 2000 with my kids at the movies. Now I like them both.

6/12/07. Updated pic.

Fantasia : IMAX

10/1/06: I remember seeing this in the movies, but not in IMAX. I was with a very good friend of mine and my children. What a beautiful movie it was on the the big screen. The score is wonderful and well-matched to the images. I remember thinking that I wish I had a girlfriend like the sprite (or whatever she is) that fixes things up after the fire consumes everything. R/DS.

Fantastic 4

An earlier purchase, and not very good. My favorite poster from this movie is British Quad that I have. R/DS

Fantastic 4

I think what I like best about this movie is one review that I read, stating that they were insane to cast Jessica Alba as the Invisible Woman. I've got to agree with them. R/DS

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer

5/23/07. I don't particularly like this image but the completist in me had to add it to the collection. I think the advance is much better without the character shots. R/DS.

Fantastic 4

4/2/07. The Silver Surfer. I'm pleased with this poster. It's the best one so far (in the series that is - it's the only one for this movie so far). R/DS.

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer

8/12/07. International. This is a limited edition poster. In the lower left corner, you can see the white snipe which is meant to be used to fill in the number of 500 that this poster is. This one is unnumbered. R/SS.

9/11/07. I came across this poster, which is no great shakes, and not one but two character sets. I haven't seen the movie yet, but I really like character sets. R/DS.
